Ollie's 100k

On Saturday Ollie went down to Kent and ran the Embrace Ultra Triple Trail 100k. It's Kent's only single-loop ultra, starting and finishing at Loddington Farm, and it joins up the North Downs Way, Greensand Way and Weald Way with no repeated sections. The route is fully marked, with nine checkpoints along the way, so it's a good old jaunt out in the countryside rather than a navigation exercise. I can't wait to catch up with Ollie tomorrow (yesterday) to see how he got on. There was a 50k and a 25k on the same day too, so it's one to remember if you're eyeing a first ultra.

The Ultra Course - Open To Everyone (You Don't Need To Be A Member!)

Six weeks for anyone curious about a first ultra. No experience needed, no speed needed, just curiosity. Book the whole thing, or grab the sessions you fancy. It starts 15th October at SeaYou in Felixstowe.

Or book individual sessions here:

We made you something 🙌

If you've ever asked Robbie "what should I actually be eating?"; this one's for you.

Over the past year, Robbie Puddick (our resident nutritionist and the person behind the Run & Fuel membership) has been fielding the same questions from members across all our clubs:

What do I eat before a long run? How do I recover properly? What can I make that's actually quick and doesn't taste like cardboard?

So we did something about it.

Introducing: Fuel the Trails: Recipes for Adventure & Performance 🌿

This is the Trail Runners nutrition guide — a practical, whole-food ebook with 39 recipes designed specifically for runners like you. Robbie developed every one of them, and I wrote the foreword because honestly, this is something I wish had existed when I started.

Here's what you're getting:

  • 🍳 Breakfast, lunch, and dinner recipes — 9 of each, all made from ingredients you can grab at any supermarket

  • ⚡ Quick post-run meals and on-run snacks — including homemade energy gels, flapjack bars, trail mix, and an electrolyte drink

  • 🏷️ Recipes tagged for Pre-Run, Long Run, Recovery, Race Week, and Rest Days

  • 📋 Sample training week meal plans — take the thinking out of it

  • 📖 A performance nutrition guide — the stuff that actually matters, explained simply

No calorie counting. No restrictive diets. No anxiety. Just good food that works hard for your running — and that you'll actually want to eat.

The ebook is available now from the club website for just £8.99.

If you're on a Run & Fuel membership, this is the perfect companion to everything Robbie covers in the portal. And if you've been thinking about upgrading — now's a great time.

Go grab it. Your next long run will thank you.

See you out there, Emma & the ITR team
