Morning everyone!

Bit of a mixed bag this week, some proper achievement to shout about and a quick word on coaching, so let's just get into it.

Stour Valley Path Ultra

Right so Saturday's already happened by the time you're reading this, done and dusted, and legs in whatever state they're in now. The Stour Valley Path 100k and 50k. Jemma, Gem and Dan U lined up for the 50k, and Dan C went and did the full 100k, the whole thing, lots of staring into the distance involved. Good on all of them!

For anyone who doesn't know it, the route follows the Stour Valley Path through Constable Country, Essex, into Suffolk. 100k starts at the Memorial Hall in Newmarket, at silly o'clock, then the 50k joins later from The Granary in Sudbury, and everyone finishes together at Brantham Leisure Centre. It's hilly, mostly off-road, and capped at 200 so it never feels like a big anonymous thing.

If you were out there, running, crewing, marshalling, flask in hand shouting encouragement, I want to hear how it went, warts and all. Send it aaalll over; photos too, and we'll get it up on the club channels.

Coaching spots

So, two coaching spots have been snapped up already this week, Just like that! Which tells me that people are starting to think about what's next rather than drifting through another block on autopilot, and good! That's the right instinct.

If you've been sat there for weeks (months?) meaning to sort out proper guidance for your own running, whether there's a first ultra looming that's scaring you a bit, or a race you keep circling back round to in your head, or you just want a plan that fits your actual week instead of one you have to bend your whole life around, this is the nudge you needed, don't you worry about a thing!
