Peak District Trail Running Camp

Ready to level up your trail running in one of the UK’s most breathtaking locations?

Join us this April for an unforgettable 3-day training camp in the heart of the Peak District. Based in the charming village of Hathersage, you’ll run through some of Britain’s most iconic trails — from the dramatic ridgelines of Stanage and Burbage Edges to the sweeping paths around Ladybower Reservoir.

This camp is for you if you’re:

  • Training for an ultra or trail race

  • Building confidence on technical terrain

  • Looking for expert guidance and new trail-running friends

  • In need of a spring reset packed with adventure and good food

What’s Included

📏 Distance: Approx. 50km total over 3 days
🧭 Ability: Open to all levels — from first-time trail runners to experienced ultrarunners

💥 All-inclusive price covers:

  • 3 days of guided runs and workshops

  • Bunkhouse accommodation

  • All meals at the bunkhouse (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)

  • Navigation and safety sessions

*Please note: the pub meal on Saturday evening is not included in the camp price.

Overview 

Location: Thorpe Farm, Hathersage
Length: 3 days; approx. 50km
Ability Level: All welcome; no experience required

Day 1 – Arrival & Introduction

Midday: Arrive at Thorpe Farm for orientation and lunch
Afternoon: Guided 10–15km run through the beautiful Hope Valley; followed by a practical workshop on:

  • Race planning

  • Pacing strategies

  • Nutrition on the trails

  • Setting personal goals
    Evening: Catered dinner and time to relax

Day 2 – Skills & Adventure

Morning: Indoor session on safety and navigation in the Peaks
Afternoon: Practical navigation exercise on the Edges; up to 3 hours (maps and compasses encouraged)
Optional: Refresh with a dip at the local open-air Lido
Evening: Dinner at a cosy local pub

Day 3 – The Long Run

A 25km supported run putting your new skills into practice; a celebration of all you've achieved over the weekend

What to Bring

  • Running/hiking gear for all weathers

  • A small personal first aid kit

  • Snacks (can be stored in the support vehicle)

  • Map and compass (recommended)
