Ten beautiful (and beautifully muddy) miles starting at ///elbowed.doubt.roses, taking you from East Bergholt out to Brantham, splashing through Dedham and cruising the Stour in full winter mood. Expect wet feet, mud in places you didn’t know mud could reach, and views that make it all worth it. 🌧️

Join us for a stunning 10-mile winter trail run beginning at ///elbowed.doubt.roses in East Bergholt, winding out toward Brantham, looping through Dedham, and following the River Stour as it does its scenic, soggy, atmospheric thing.
This route is a proper Suffolk winter classic — a mix of:– rolling riverside paths– slippery woodland– Dedham vistas– wide, muddy fields that WILL try to take a shoe– and the kind of wet, cold chaos we’ve grown to secretly love
This one’s all about steady pacing, good company and embracing whatever the valley throws at us.
Bring: trail shoes, layers, headtorch, fuel, and a sense of humour.It’s winter. It will be muddy. You will survive. And you’ll love it.
